Apply online - North East Business Support Fund

Eligibility.

The North East Business Support Fund provides grants of up to 35% towards business development projects costing between £3,000 and £8,000 (maximum grant value of £2800).

  • Please note: We are currently able to support businesses based in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham. Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to take applications from businesses based in the Tees Valley.
  • The fund is only able to support certain types of project where external expertise is being purchased to develop the business - capital purchases, printing and advertising costs cannot be funded.
  • You should be in a position to start your development activity within 60 days of your application being approved.

Please note that the North East Business Support Fund can only support the costs of external expertise, it cannot fund capital purchases (e.g. machinery, computer equipment or software), printing or advertising costs.

Procurement of a Service Provider

All applicants will have to seek a minimum of 3 quotes for the proposed project (If your application is approved, an NBSL Adviser will be able to guide you through this requirement to seek 3 quotes).

Previous Funding Support

I understand that the North East Business Support Fund project is part financed by the 2014-20 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme, European Regional Development Fund Programme. Therefore the amount of State Aid subsidised support my business may receive is capped.

Marketing and Research Contact Permission

NBSL (Northumberland Business Service Ltd) collects data following guidelines within the Data Protection Act 1998.Occasional access is given to partners engaged on our behalf to carry out research (eg: client satisfaction) with the aim of improving our services. We will also provide potential Providers with limited information when sourcing your development solution.
