NBSL are pleased to announce that they are able to offer this new support fund to businesses in the North East who are looking to grow in turnover or staffing levels over the next three years. Please have a read through the eligibility criteria and then follow the link at the bottom of the page to apply online.

What is on Offer?

  • Up to 40% support to a maximum of £1400
  • Business diagnostic to clarify need
  • Assistance in finding the right provider
  • Links to other complementary funding in the North East

What type of Businesses can apply?

  • Are a registered business based in the North East of England
  • Have already commenced trading (have issued their 1st invoice)
  • Business to Business client base
  • Are looking to increase turnover or number of employees
  • Have not received support managed by NBSL since April 2011

Examples of Projects that can be supported – Minimum of 12 hours intervention

  • Business growth planning
  • Strategy Development, Change Management, Business Expansion Planning
  • Product development / diversification
  • Developing Quality Management Systems
  • Process improvement systems
  • Financial restructuring
  • Marketing planning
  • Web design / development
  • Accessing new markets
  • Succession planning
  • HR Strategy planning and development
  • Design costs for marketing

Examples of Projects that cannot be supported:-

  • Staff training
  • Skills Workshops
  • Internal staffing costs
  • Produce Testing
  • Purchase of capital equipment
  • Purchase of raw materials
  • Production of accounts / financial statements
  • Non e-commerce web design
  • Production of marketing materials
