Blyth man Trevor Wilkie was desperate to get of State Benefits and secure some financial stability for his family. Trevor had been unemployed for some time and contacted NBSL (Northumberland Business Service Ltd) initially to discuss the viability of his ideas.
Trevor was provided with the services of a local Personal Business Advisor free of charge. John was guided through Market Research into the viability of his proposed business as well as general Self Employment issues such as registering with the Inland Revenue and the paying of National Insurance Contributions.
With the aid of his Business Advisor Trevor was able to complete a Business Plan and Financial Projections which resulted in him securing funding from the Royal British Legion.
Trevor commenced trading as Wilkie’s Fish Bar in January 2009. Trevor stated “NBSL has provided me with all the requirements to start my Business Venture including business planning and funding sources.”
