Adding it up imageSusanne Miller suffered a serious personal set back 5 years ago when she was diagnosed with Cancer although now recovered she is disabled and can only really work from home.  That left Susanne with a dilemma, which direction to take her career in.

Susanne contacted NBSL (Northumberland Business Service Limited). NBSL offers free impartial advice and assistance to help people unlock their potential and set up in business, this is offered through their Enterprise Bridge Programme which is part financed through regional development agency One NorthEast by the European Union’s ERDF Competitiveness programme 2007-13 which supports innovation, enterprise and business support across the North East. 

NBSL introduced Susanne to personal Business Advisor Eddie Dickinson who said ‘‘Susanne is a true inspiration for anyone who is thinking about working for themselves she has amazing strength of character’’.  Eddie and Susanne worked together in determining and developing a suitable business that would fit around Susanne’s social and domestic needs.  Having decided on Bookkeeping Susanne underwent training in Sage and other software packages allowing her to become proficient in these as well as manual bookkeeping systems.

Eddie also supported Susanne in gaining the ILM level 3 Award in ‘Starting your own Business’ via the Three Pebbles Programme. The outcome from this programme was a comprehensive business plan for use by funding agencies.  Susanne was referred to the Shaw Trust, the result of which was Susanne gaining access to the funding she required.  Susanne Miller Bookkeeping & Admin Services has commenced trading, based in Blyth they have a number of regular Clients and Susanne has also progressed to offer Company Secretary as part of her Service.  For further details on this and the other services Susanne offers contact her on 01670 351556 or 07821 832552.
